PhD, Professor, doctoral supervisor, dean of Department of Automation, Tsinghua University, vice president of School of Information Science and Technology, member of the Electronic Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and director of the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Systems, Beijing National Research Center for Information Science and Technology. He is a fellow of IET, member of Chinese Association of Automation, senior member of IEEE, member of Robot Technology Committee of International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), director of Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and director of Chinese Association of Automation. Professor Zhang’s main research fields are robotics, artificial intelligence, control theory, etc. He has presided over or participated in more than 30 national research projects. Over the past decade, he has published more than 200 papers, of which more than 80 have been included in SCI. He has published more than 10 academic monographs, translations, and edited textbooks, and has obtained more than 20 domestic authorized invention patents. He has won the National Teaching Achievement Award, the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education, Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the Natural Science Award of the Chinese Association of Automation, and the Electronic Information Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Institute of electronics.
