The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China
Xiaoshun He is the Professor of Surgery, Head of Organ Transplant Center and former Vice President at The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University.
His clinical focus is liver transplantation. He has been one of the pioneers to promote organ donation in China. He also made a significant contribution in multi-organ transplantation.
He has a particular research interest in organ perfusion and ischemia-free organ transplantation. He performed the first case of ischemia-free liver transplantation in the world in 2017. He has won the Second Prize in National Award for Science and Technology Progress twice and many other prizes. He has published a total of 595 academic papers, including 171 SCI papers where he served as either the first or corresponding author.
Jiefu Huang

Professor Jiefu Huang serves as the Chairman of the China Organ Donation and Transplantation Committee, Professor of Surgery at Union Medical College of China and Tsinghua University, Member of The Transplantation Society and Member of the Task Force on Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues, World Health Organization.
Prof. Huang is a renowned organ transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon as well as an expert in the field of medical education and healthcare management in China. He has been long committed to liver transplantation academic research and the reform of organ transplantation system in China. He is widely recognized as a prominent leader in the revolutionary reform of China’s organ transplantation to regulate China’s organ transplantation program by international transplant community. He is committing China to a new era in organ donation and transplantation consistent with the internationally accepted ethical standards. His research interests include hepatobiliary surgery, organ donation and transplantation, hospital management, etc. He is also the editor-in-chief of 18 books, and has published 449 articles in the Lancet, GUT, the American Journal of Surgery, the Liver Transplantation, the Transplantation, etc.
Jiahong Dong

Dr. Jiahong Dong is Professor, Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine, President of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, Tsinghua University. He is a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, as well as the President of Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA). Dr. Dong has made remarkable achievements in hepatobiliary surgery, especially in the management of complex biliary diseases. He was the first to propose the concept of “precision surgery” worldwide and has been endeavored in establishing the surgical paradigm and technological system ever since. Dr. Jiahong Dong’s respected and active roles in the academic community include the standing committee member of the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) Surgery Branch and the Chinese Society of Organ Transplantation, Chief of the CMA Biliary Surgery Branch, Chairman of the Liver Tumor Branch of China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health care (CPAM). He has been awarded the honorary foreign academician of French National Academy of Surgery (FAS), honorary fellow of American Surgical Association (ASA), honorary fellow of European Surgical Association (ESA), and the Surgical Section Chairman of the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO).
Yulong He

Yulong He is the President of the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University and noted for his extensive experience of over 30 years in gastrointestinal surgery. Prof. He has made significant contributions in various fields, including the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer, organoid genetics, medical humanities, enhanced recovery after surgery, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Prof. He has led and participated in numerous significant research projects, such as the National Nature Science Foundation of China, funded projects of the Ministry of Education, and key projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province. He has also contributed to major scientific and technological projects and initiatives like the “211 Project” and the “985 Project”.
In the past five years, Prof. He has conducted extensive research, resulting in over 170 publications in prestigious journals including Nature (ISSN: 0028-0836), Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy (ISSN: 2095-9907), Advanced Materials (ISSN: 0935-9648), Gastroenterology (ISSN: 0016-5085), Drug Resistance Updates (ISSN: 1368-7646), Molecular Cancer (ISSN: 1476-4598), Advanced Science (ISSN: 2198-3844), Biomaterials (ISSN: 1878-5905), Journal of Nanobiotechnology (ISSN: 1477-3155), and Cancer Letters (ISSN: 0304-3835). Among these, Prof. He’s representative works include “GREM1 is required to maintain cellular heterogeneity in pancreatic cancer”, “Regular Use of Proton Pump Inhibitor and the Risk of Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Pooled Analysis of 3 Prospective Cohorts”, and “CHD4 promotes acquired chemoresistance and tumor progression by activating the MEK/ERK axis”.
Björn Nashan

Prof. Nashan has published extensively in the fields of transplantation, immunosuppression, and hepatobiliary surgery (more than 340 manuscripts in e.g., Lancet, New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Transplantation, Transplantation etc.) and serves on multiple advisory boards for various organizations, companies, and government bodies. He was President of the German Transplantation Society, Chairman of the Foundation Board of the German Organ Donation Foundation, Vice-Chairman of the Permanent Committee of Organ Transplantation of the German Medical Association, Board and Council Member of Eurotransplant and Counselor of the European Society of Organ Transplantation. He was Past-President of the German Transplantation Society and is currently a member of the sections of liver and kidney/pancreas transplantation in the National German Institute for Quality Assessment in Health Care (IQTIG). He received the Chinese Government Friendship Award in September 2019. Since 2023 he is member of the COTDF (China Organ Transplantation Development Foundation) Advisory Board, COTRS (China Organ Transplant Response System) Senior Scientific Advisor and Honorary Member of the CMA (Chinese Medical Association).
