Publishing Ethics

Capillarity is committed to obey the code of ethics at all stages of the publication process.

We follow the Guidelines on Good Publication Practice provided by Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), an organisation that provides advice and resources on all aspects of publication ethics and research and publication misconduct.

The journal enforces a rigorous and anonymous review process together with strict ethical policies and standards to ensure high quality scientific papers to publish. Cases of plagiarism, data falsification, image manipulation, inappropriate authorship credit is a zero tolerance policy for Capillarity.

The following guidelines outline the publishing ethics responsibilities of Capillarity, and the authors, peer reviewers and editors. The papers submitted to Capillarity must abide following aspects:

(1) Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal is not tolerated.

(2) A submission translated from already published paper in other language is not clearly allowed and accepted.

(3) Any possible conflict of interest of the author(s) must be clearly disclosed before submission.

(4) Data and methods in your paper should be presented at full length, which can be replicated by other researchers.

(5) The authors need publicly deposit their raw data, so that they are readily available for presentation to the referees and the editors, if requested.

(6) Paper should accurately present their research findings.

(7) If some inaccuracies are found after publication, the authors need promptly contact with the journal for necessary corrigendum.

(8) Submitted manuscript to this journal need not contain any aspects that has already been published, including figures and images. If yes, the necessary permission from the copyright holder to publish under the CC BY-NC-ND license should be obtained.

(9) Image manipulation Plagiarism and data fabrication are not tolerated.

(10) Image must not be manipulated or adjusted that could lead to misunderstand of the information provided by the original image.

(11) If irregular image manipulation is identified and confirmed during the peer review process, we will reject the manuscript. If irregular image manipulation is identified and confirmed after publication, we may correct or retract the paper.

(12) Plagiarism includes copying text, ideas, images, and data from another source, without giving any credit to the original source.

(13) Reuse of text that is copied from another source must be between quotes and the original source must be cited.

(14) If plagiarism is detected during the peer review process, the manuscript will be definitely rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication, we will retract this paper.

Anyone who believes that research published by Capillarity has not been carried out in line with these principles could feedback their concerns to the Editor-in-Chief, or send email to yandjournals@sina.com.

Our office editors will investigate any allegations of publication misconduct and may contact the authors' institutions or funders if necessary. If evidence of misconduct is found, appropriate action will be taken to correct or retract the publication. Authors are expected to comply with the best ethical publication practices when publishing with Yandy Scientific Press.
