The Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (SAHSYSU)

The Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University (SAHSYSU, http://www.sysush.com/en), situated in Shenzhen, is the first affiliated hospital constructed by the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government and managed by SYSU. Upon full completion, it will be home to 4,000 beds.

Boasting high-quality medical resources from its brother hospitals, SAHSYSU has brought in 27 National Key Clinical Specialty teams, was approved for 1 Guangdong Key Laboratory, 2 Shenzhen Key Laboratories, 1 Clinical Medical Research Center, 1 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Joint Laboratory, and 2 Nobel Laureate Laboratories. In just a few years, it has seen a staggering number of research programs totaling 550, including 122 National Natural Science Fund Programs, which has placed it among the top 3 in Shenzhen hospitals for five consecutive years. Notably, it took only 4 years and 2 months to be accredited as a Grade-A tertiary hospital. Distinguished professor He Xiaoshun originated organ isolation and protection treatments, ensuring that drugs target diseased parts of patients’ organs, leaving the healthy parts unaffected. Now, SAHSYSU has completed three innovative targeted therapies for liver cancer, with all patients showing satisfactory recovery. These innovative treatments contribute to Shenzhen’s reputation as a pioneering and innovative global city.

The Guangdong Society of Organ Medicine and Technology, recognized as a top-tier organization by the Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department and overseen by the Guangdong Science and Technology Association, is dedicated to advancing medical innovation. Our mission aligns with national directives and the demands of our era, focusing on the frontiers of science, economic development, national needs, and public health. We foster an ecosystem that integrates various sectors to nurture medical science innovation and enhance the medical industry.

We aim to establish an integrated Internet medical platform, hosting annual "exhibition + conference" events to facilitate the promotion and exchange of novel ideas, technologies, and products in the medical field. Our unique approach to organ medicine, a concept pioneered by domestic scientists, seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding and precise treatment of organ diseases, distinguishing us from traditional clinical and basic medicine.

Our membership base includes entities and professionals from medical, research, clinical, and educational sectors in Guangdong Province, all engaged in organ medicine, life science, and health industry innovation. We organize academic exchanges, promote cooperation, conduct popular science activities, and support the development of a holistic innovation ecosystem for organ medicine and related health industries. Our goal is to provide valuable consultation and services, contributing to the advancement of medical science, the prosperity of the social economy, and the health of our people, aspiring to lead global medical development.

As an integral part of China’s most prestigious university, Tsinghua University Press (TUP, http://www.tup.tsinghua.edu.cn/en/index.html) was established in 1980 and is a first-class national comprehensive publisher, with a strong presence in China’s higher education, science and technology and library purchase book markets.

Consisting of 8 book publishing branches, a journal center and a digital publishing center, TUP employs a staff of over 500 and publishes up to 3000 new titles each year. Our publications include academic monographs, college textbooks, trade books and elementary education books, covering a broad spectrum of subjects, such as STEM, social science, humanities and foreign language learning.

TUP attaches great importance to international development and engages actively in copyright trade. TUP is an experienced publisher in the development and marketing of e-learning, academic platforms, digital books and multimedia publications and has launched a number of well-received internet products, which were prized and supported by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRF).
