Submission Scope

The journal China Brewing primarily publishes the latest research findings and developments in the field of brewing science. It covers a wide range of subjects, including food microbiology, food biotechnology, biochemistry, biological science, bioengineering, fermentation engineering, brewing engineering, enzyme engineering, and genetic engineering. The journal focuses on reporting fundamental research, technology reviews, and application outcomes related to brewing mechanisms, process modifications, enzyme preparations, food additives, detailed analyses of flavor components, screening of excellent fermentation strains, microbial metabolic regulation and quality enhancement, clean production and comprehensive utilization of by-products, food safety laws and regulations, quality assurance systems, standardization, and the upgrading of intelligent, digital technologies and equipment.

Submission Requirements

This journal only accepts online submissions. Authors should visit the official website at www.chinabrewing.net.cn and click on "Author Submission". First-time submitters must click "Register" to create an account before submitting. Authors are required to sign a "Copyright Transfer Statement," which should be scanned and uploaded alongside the manuscript in WORD (.doc) format. Research papers must be no less than 6000 words, while review papers must be at least 8000 words. If the research is funded by relevant grants or projects, the type and number should be indicated, and the journal will prioritize these submissions. Manuscripts must include detailed information about the first author and corresponding author, including names, birth year, gender, title, education, research direction, email address, and contact number.

Writing Guidelines

Manuscripts should follow the journal's template, which can be downloaded from the editorial system.

  1. Title: The title should be concise, clear, and accurately reflect the subject, generally not exceeding 25 characters.
  2. Abstract and Keywords: The Chinese abstract should be between 200 and 400 words. For research papers, the abstract should include the purpose, methods, results, and conclusion; for review papers, it should cover the research background, current status, content and scope, purpose, and significance. Each paper should contain 3 to 8 keywords. The English abstract and keywords must be consistent with the Chinese versions, written in the third person, passive voice, and past tense.
  3. Physical Quantities, Units, and Symbols: Must comply with relevant international and national standards. Physical quantity symbols should be in italics, and unit symbols in regular font, using legal measurement units.
  4. Plant and Microbial Names: Use standardized nomenclature for plants and microorganisms; Latin genus and species names should be italicized.
  5. Figures and Tables: Must be clear and concise, avoiding duplication of content. All figures and tables should be numbered throughout, with bilingual titles.
  6. References: References should be ordered according to their citation within the text, with at least half of the total references from the last five years and no fewer than five foreign references. Specific formatting should follow GB/T 7714—2015 "Information and Documentation – Rules for Bibliographic References," and citations in the manuscript should be indicated with square brackets.

Withdrawal, Acceptance, and Rejection

  1. Withdrawal: If an author requests withdrawal of a manuscript that has passed preliminary or external review, they can notify the editorial office promptly via email or phone.
  2. Acceptance: Accepted manuscripts may be edited and reasonably modified according to publication standards, with substantial changes requiring the author's consent. Authors must respond to review comments and return the revised manuscript to the editorial office by the specified deadline.
  3. Rejection: The journal will automatically reject submissions that fall under the following categories: 1) content that does not fit within the journal’s scope; 2) failed to return revised manuscripts within three months; 3) suspected academic misconduct.

Notes

Submissions must be truthful, with reliable data, clear viewpoints, and logical rigor. They should possess innovation, scientific integrity, accuracy, practicality, and readability. Authors must ensure there are no disputes regarding authorship, no simultaneous submissions, no confidentiality breaches, and no political issues; they will bear full responsibility for the content.
