Cybernetics and Intelligence, launched by the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University in 2023, is a peer-reviewed scholarly international journal with the focus on automation, autonomy, and intelligence.

Industrial intelligence is concerned with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to address industrial pain-point problems. In the past decades, the breakthoughs of AI and related technologies have been revolutionizing the way companies manufacture, improve and distribute their products. However, the challenges to unlock the huge value of industrial intelligence lies in the transformation of raw data to intelligent predictions for rapid decision-making which requires to develop novel domain knowledge based AI technologies and build intelligent industrial systems.

This special issue intends to collect new ideas and contributions for industrial intelligence and systems. The primary aspect of any contribution should be novelty and originality. Specific topics of interest for this special issue include, but are not limited to:

• AI and machine intelligence
• Intelligent decision-making and control
• Intelligent scheduling and management
• Internet of Things (IoT)
• Digital twin
• Edge and cloud computing
• Cybersecurity
• Intelligent industrial systems, e.g., robotic manipulators and mobile robot systems, and their related technologies

All manuscripts submitted to the special issue will be subjected to peer review. Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts through the submission portal https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/cai.
