Cybernetics and Intelligence is a new peer-reviewed scholarly international journal focused on publishing original research in Automation, autonomy, and intelligence, a field that resides at the interface of cybernetics and intelligence.
It may go back to the 1940s when cybernetics as a terminology was born. The concept of “cybernetics” was developed in the 1943 by Norbert Weiner to discuss the similarity between brain and computers. This leads to the birth of modern automation science and engineering, as well as the beginning of machine intelligence. In nowadays, automation is composed of cybernetics, informatics, and system theory, and pervasively applied in industry, agriculture, healthcare, as well as other fields in modern civilization.
Particularly, advances in bioinformatics and intelligent health have been transforming the way we understand and diagnose diseases. Bioinformatics, through the use of computational techniques, enables the analysis and interpretation of large-scale genetic, genomic and proteomic data. Intelligent Health, on the other hand, focuses on applying artificial intelligence and driving technological collaboration in healthcare, by connecting clinicians, patients and decision makers in healthcare settings with technologists. The integration of these two fields has led to the development of precision medicine for personalized prevention, diagnosis, treatment of disease.
We are pleased to announce an issue of Cybernetics and Intelligence focused on Advances in Bioinformatics and Intelligent Health. We invite submissions of original research articles and reviews that address the latest developments and challenges in these fields. We welcome papers that explore the following topics, but are not limited to:
This special issue is planned to be published in 2023, and we encourage high-quality submissions from researchers. Manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process and accepted papers will be published in a timely manner.
