The Journal of Highway and Transportation Research and Development (English Edition) (HTRD), known in Chinese as Gonglu Jiaotong Yanjiu, ISSN 2095-6215, is an open-access quarterly journal that was first published in 2006. It is sponsored by the Research Institute of Highway Ministry of Transport (RIOH). The journal is edited and published by the Journal of Highway and Transportation Research and Development Co., Ltd. (JHTRD Co., Ltd.), and globally released by Tsinghua University Press’s SciOpen platform.

RIOH and the JHTRD Co., Ltd. have decided to reorganize of the Editorial Board of HTRD. We are officially launching the Recruitment Notice for the Second Editorial Board of HTRD and sincerely invite experts and scholars from around the world to join us.

I. Requirements

1.Commitment: Support China's publication policy; Support the development of HTRD and contribute ideas and efforts to advance the journal.

2.Age: Under the age of 58. 

3.Qualifications: Doctor or professional title such as Professor, Researcher, or Senior Engineer. Applicants should have significant expertise and academic influence in the relevant field, with outstanding research achievements.

II. Responsibilities

1.Policy and Participation: Participate in setting and implementing the editorial policy, actively attend Editorial Board meetings and academic activities, fulfill tasks assigned by the Board, provide ideas and suggestions, and enhance the journal’s quality.

2.Manuscript Review and Editorial Work: Review manuscripts in your professional field, conduct English language editing, solicit high-quality manuscripts, and participate in planning special issues to ensure academic quality.

3.Promotion and Outreach: Actively promote the journal through academic exchanges or other means to expand its international influence; assist with or participate in related academic conferences or activities organized or co-organized by the journal when necessary.

4.Reviewer and Author Development: Recommend and cultivate reviewers and authors, provide timely feedback on readers' opinions, support the journal's development, and improve its service quality.

III. Benefits

1.Rights and Suggestions: Editorial Board members have the right to make suggestions and provide feedback for the journal's quality improvement.

2.Recognition: Receive an official appointment certificate issued by the Editorial Office; Editorial Board member details will be published on the HTRD website.

3.Special Issues and Columns: Members can propose special issues, columns, or themed publications; submissions by members or manuscripts they recommend will receive priority for publication.

4.Publicity Opportunities: Editorial Board members can promote their research achievements, academic activities, and team information on the journal's WeChat account, video channel, and website.

5.Journal Access: Receive regular complimentary access to electronic issues of the journal and related information.

IV. Term and Evaluation

The term for Editorial Board members is 3 years. The Editorial Office will assess members' contributions based on their advice, peer review work, subject-specific editorial tasks, manuscript solicitation, journal promotion, and academic activities. The results will be compiled and submitted to the Editorial Board as an important basis for reappointment.
