Tea is a traditional agricultural product with competitive advantages in China. Due to the aging society and changing consumption patterns, the value-added methods for tea consumption are facing huge challenges, driving ready-to-drink tea to become a new channel for value addition. In response to the current booming ready-to-drink tea drink industry, this article divides the industry’s development into three stages from the perspective of tea industry practitioners, based on the technological progress and industry scale. It analyzes the industry’s prominent characteristics of the industry, such as its large scale, high capital investment, broad consumption base, younger demographic, and incomplete standard system. It offers a forecast for the future development of the industry, predicting intensified competition, continuous improvement in innovation, and the rapid expansion of overseas markets.
