Abstract

This paper explores the current status of organic tea in Zhejiang Province, based on information from the National Certification and Accreditation Information Public Service Platform, which was used to organize domestic organic tea certification data. The analysis covered the changes in the number of certificates, area, and entities, with the results indicating that from 2000 to 2024, the certification of organic tea in Zhejiang has undergone multiple stages of change. As of the current certification period, there are currently 376 valid organic tea certificates, 240 enterprises, and an area of 4,347 hm2. By analyzing the enabling and limiting factors of organic tea certification, the paper suggests focusing on market expansion, mutual recognition of certificates, increasing policy support, fostering brand development, supporting technological innovation, and enhancing cultural promotion. The suggestions for advancing the organic tea industry include mutual recognition of organic certifications domestically and internationally, stronger policy support, brand cultivation, technological support, and cultural promotion.
